VeroQuote LLC

Privacy policy

VeroQuote LLC (“VeroQuote,” “we,” “us”) sells insurance leads to insurance agents and agencies. VeroQuote is a lead generation company. We are not an insurance company or agency and do not sell insurance.

This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It covers two groups of people:

  • Shoppers: people who ask for auto or home insurance quotes on a website whose consent names VeroQuote.
  • Agents: insurance agents and agency staff who visit veroquote.com, ask for a test batch, or buy leads from us.

Information we collect

From shoppers

We get shopper information from the websites where shoppers ask for quotes (our publishers). A lead can include:

  • Contact details: name, phone number, email, and street address.
  • Quote details: whether you own your home, your current insurance company and how long you’ve had coverage, your vehicles and drivers (such as age, marital status, license status, and recent accidents or tickets), or details about your home.
  • The consent record: the exact consent wording you agreed to, when you agreed, your IP address, your browser and device, the page address, and a TrustedForm certificate or Jornaya LeadiD. These services record what the quote page showed when you submitted it.
  • Check results: whether your phone number works and what type of line it is, whether your email can receive mail, whether the request is a duplicate, whether your number is on the National Do Not Call Registry, and whether your number is linked to frequent TCPA lawsuits.

From agents

  • What you send in our forms: name, agency, work email, phone, states, lines, lead volume, and notes.
  • Account and billing details: billing name, email, and address, your payment history, and your delivery settings. Stripe processes payments. We don’t see or store full card or bank account numbers.
  • Form details: when you submit a form, we record the time, your IP address, your country, and your browser type.

When anyone visits veroquote.com

Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes your IP address and basic request data to serve and protect the site. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser sends your IP address to Google. We don’t use analytics, advertising cookies, or tracking pixels.

How we use information

Shoppers’ information

  • To send your quote request to insurance agents and agencies who can quote you, so they can contact you about insurance as your consent allows.
  • To check that the consent is real and covers the agent, and to keep proof of it.
  • To check phone numbers and emails, screen against Do Not Call lists and duplicates, and prevent fraud.
  • To honor requests to stop contact or opt out.
  • To meet our legal duties and defend legal claims.

Agents’ information

  • To reply to you, set up test batches, deliver leads, bill you, and support your account.
  • To prevent fraud and meet our legal duties.

We don’t send agents newsletters, and we don’t sell agents’ information.

How we share information

  • Insurance agents and agencies. We sell shopper leads to insurance agents and agencies so they can contact shoppers about insurance quotes. Some leads go to one agent or agency. Others, such as older leads, may go to more than one. Each agent or agency handles the information under its own privacy policy.
  • Service providers. Companies that help us run the business: hosting (Cloudflare), consent certificates (TrustedForm, Jornaya), phone and email checks, Do Not Call and litigation screening, payments (Stripe), and messaging tools that alert our team to new requests. They may use the information only to provide services to us.
  • Legal and safety. When the law requires it, to respond to legal process, or to protect our rights, our customers, or the public.
  • Business transfer. If VeroQuote is sold or merges with another company, information may move to the new owner under this policy.

Sale of personal information

Under several state privacy laws, giving shopper information to insurance agents in exchange for money is a “sale.” We sell these kinds of shopper information: contact details, quote details, the consent record, and check results. You can tell us to stop at any time (see below). We don’t sell agents’ information.

Your choices

Stop calls and texts

You can take back your consent at any time, in any reasonable way: reply STOP to a text, tell the caller, or contact us. When you contact us, we stop selling your information and pass your request to the agents and agencies that received your information from us.

National Do Not Call Registry

You can add your number at donotcall.gov or by calling 1-888-382-1222.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia, and other states with privacy laws, you may have the right to:

  • know what personal information we have about you and get a copy;
  • correct it;
  • delete it;
  • opt out of its sale;
  • appeal if we deny your request.

To make a request, use our privacy request form, email [email protected], or call (307) 264-5202. We don’t need to verify who you are to stop selling your information. For other requests, we match the phone number or email you give us against our records, and we may ask for more details. An authorized agent can make a request for you with your signed permission.

We answer within 45 days and tell you if we need more time, as state law allows. If you ask us to delete your information, we may keep what the law lets us keep, such as proof of consent and a record of your opt-out so we keep honoring it. We won’t treat you differently for using these rights. To appeal a decision, reply to our answer or email us with “Appeal” in the subject.

How long we keep information

  • Shopper leads and consent records: as long as we need them to deliver and support the lead and to prove consent. TCPA lawsuits can be filed up to four years after a call or text, so we generally keep consent records at least that long.
  • Opt-out and do-not-contact records: as long as we need them to keep honoring your request.
  • Agent inquiries and account records: while you’re a customer, then as long as we need them for tax, billing, and legal records.

How we protect information

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limited access. No system is perfectly secure.

Children

Our services are for adults. We don’t knowingly collect personal information directly from anyone under 18. An auto quote request can list a household driver under 18. That information comes from the adult who asked for the quote.
